Inspired by 18th Century French antiques, the cover features Astier de Villatte's eponymous floor tile pattern - in vibrant tones, graphic monochromatic shades, or subtle pastels. Each one is absolutely one of a kind made by hand in Paris, following 18th Century manufacturing methods. Indeed, these are printed on a traditional printing press operated by Mr Huin, one of few remaining typesetters in France - his printing shop having been involved for decades in printing small editions of novels.
